Download Songs By Arks Here.
Finally have figured out how to share downloads over this god forsaken internet. I've made a folder on media fire where you can download some of my songs. the list includes: 1. Dream Big, 2. I know a kid, 3. Get by, 4. The Road To Zion. You can download these tracks here. Peace, the Arks mc.
360's - "Do you Have a Dollar?"
After the past couple months on being hooked on 360's everyword, i've finally been talking to him about his new album "Falling and Flying", he then told me about his plans to remix Lisa Mitchell's "Coin Laundry", i asked him what the new song would be about, he replied somehow he had turned the Upbeat song into a grimy dark song about a homeless war hero. 360's new songs - "falling and flying" and "i hate you" both unmixed demo's are available to listen to on myspace. www.myspace.com/emcee360. Whilst 360's - "Do you have a Dollar?" is available to download here
360 never disapoints. Props to the Port Melbourne Boy on his new tracks. Peace, The Arks Mc.

"ARKS - I KNOW A KID"
yo, hows everybody doing today. just in english getting my 'interior monologue/Stream Of Conciousness' on. just wanted to let you all know about the devine piece of technology which currently resides in my house, the lovely 6GB RAM 27' Inch Mac with all the lovely freebies that it comes with. It's taken me a whilst to save up and pay for this bad boy, all my hardwork from the Dead poets EP, went straight towards that. Believe me, in my oppinion, tottally worth it. Last night i walked inside my house to find that my Pops had set it up for me and was on garage band with reason open next to it. Of course i thanked him, then proceeded to record a track i had written a couple days earlier. so here you go, for loyal followers (all 6 of you at the moment), and anyone else who frequently checks out this blog. "I know a Kid" - Arks. New Track part of the "Arks 2010 Mixtape". Hope you enjoy it folks, peace, The Arks Mc.

PHATCHANCE - INKSTAINS
Phatchance is one of those open minded rappers. And if you want to dig this album, you have to stay open minded and accept idea's and style's like phatchance.. listening to Phatchance, reminds me of a young Slug and Ant of Atmosphere from the states, a very different approach to life and music. Inkstains is the debut album from Sydney emcee Phatchance, it is a cohesive, emotive and extremely personal album that promises to smash open any remnants of the perception that Australian hip-hop is a genre with a shelf life. With a progressive sound riding somewhere between iconic Australian group The Hilltop Hoods and indie rockers Death Cab For Cutie, Inkstains ventures into new waters for local hip-hop music. Earnest lyrics and melancholy production thread the album together, interspersed with the same kind of high energy numbers that have pulled the genre from relative obscurity to a mainstay of the Australian live music scene. Inkstains is packed full of production from some of the best beat smiths in the country, including Adit (Horrorshow) and Akouo. California’s DJ Hoppa (Bliss N Eso – Up Jumped the Boogie) also provides production for the album, as do locals Konfuzion, Elgen & One Above. personnaly Battle scars is a track that hits close to home for me. Pick up "Phatchance's - Inkstains" Via Obese.

THE TONGUE IS BACK, FROM THE DEAD.
The Tongue the renowned emcee signed to Elefant tracks has yet released yet another free mixtape. After racking up an impressive list of guest collaborations (appearing with Urthboy, Katalyst and Bias B) Tongue earned himself a spot at both The Big Day Out and Good Vibrations festivals. With the goal of creating an original mixtape, The Tongue put together the brilliant Redux Mixtape. Released in June 2008 'Redux' helped solidify Tongues reputation as one of the most exciting MCs in the country, with yet another national tour getting underway. After I picked 'Redux' i knew i was officialy in love with OZ hiphop, now The Tongue has put yet another mixtape out, to capture our hearts all over again. The Tongue's "The Tongue is Dead" is of course another sick mixtape, a must if you dig, horrorshow, urthboy, ozi batla etc. The 15 track Mixtape surronds the idea of death and other shit. Check it Out, down load it here. http://www.elefanttraks.com/thetongueisdead/

INSIDE STORY - "HORRORSHOW FT SPIT SYNDICATE"
Ahh, finnaly on the blog after a extremely awesome weekend. Friday night was a bit sucky, but after having a chill session on saturday having a drink with my man Eddie Goldsmith i went and saw "Horrorshow" at 'Push Over Festival'. After hearing MetalDeath Bands screaming and gothic and Emo freaks in make up i finnally made it to the front to see Horrorshow hop on stage with there brederan Spit Syndicate, after jumping and rapping along to there every word i jumped outside to talk to the boys, Solo was absolutely buggered, and fair enough what a Dope Set!, But both Adit And Solo where up for a chat and signed me and my mate Juniors posters. As me and Junior are part of there street sqaud, we got free tickets to the next gig at the evelyn on the 19th of march, where Horrorshow will be joined by SS once more. Nick Lupi came up to me after there gig to thank me for all the support which just made the Top 3 moments of my life. 1. Suffa Mc from hilltop hoods telling me to always stick with Obese, 2. Muph telling me to always stick tight with my Boys, and 3. Meeting horrorshow and Spit Syndicate and personally thanking me for the support. Anyways, enough of me blabbing on, here's a flick of Me, Solo, and Junior after the gig. Peace, The Arks Mc

Another Golden Freebie.
Ay Bloggers,Got another email from horrorshow putting me on the doorlist for there next melbourne show, and i'm also seeing them this weekend for push over. Just wanted to express the hype about Horrorshow, they are seriously one of australia's dopest hiphop duo, and if you havn't checked them out i honestly don't know what you're doing with your time. Google them, Youtube them, go to Obese, JB-Hifi. seriously people pick up there first Album, "The Grey Space" or there new release, "Inside Story". Horrorshow's Beatmaker 'Adit' makes symbolic dope beats, with spine shivering samples for horrorshow's other half "solo" One of the greatest Emcee's coming straight out of Sydney. This is Australia's youngest, most conscious, ego-free hip hop crew, and they're building some very strong foundations"- The Brag. check it out, peace, The Arks Mc.

GOLDEN ERA
A little bit on Hilltop's New Record Label, since they left our beloved Obese Records.
To some people the golden era of Hip Hop was ’94. Ask someone a little older and they’ll tell you Hip Hop’s renaissance was back in ’88. Ask one of our revered pioneers and they’ll tell you that the golden era came and went three decades ago, before most of today’s Hip Hop heads were born. Whatever the case these so-called golden eras weren’t only defined by the music or the fashion - they were characterised by something less tangible - an atmosphere, a movement. This label wasn’t established to release throw-back records; instead we hope to make music that throws you back to the way you felt during the golden era of Hip Hop.
Whatever year that was for you.
Peace, The Arks Mc
